Our Fine Beef and Fish Restaurant in York

Harvilles is a relaxed Art Deco influenced beef and fish restaurant located on York’s premier restaurant street, Fossgate.

At Harvilles we think that the secret to good food is to take the best quality beef and the freshest seafood available and cook it simply. Very simply. That’s why we only serve pure pedigree Aberdeen Angus chargrilled in our own unique way to bring out its full sensational flavour. The only ingredients we use are salt, pepper and butter.

In addition to the main restaurant, Harvilles also houses a wonderful Oyster Cellar with a bar and fresh fish counter serving one of the finest selections of Champagne in the region. Our Oyster Cellar offers a delightfully intimate place to meet friends and enjoy the freshest fish and seafood from our menus and daily changing blackboards. You can even select your own lobster from our saltwater tank.

A pianist plays on Friday and Saturday evenings in the main restaurant.
