Coral Bay, Cyprus, is a horseshoe-shaped beach paradise of soft white sand sheltered by headlands. It is renowned for its calm glassy waters, holiday weather, and for being a paradise to scuba divers and those with snorkels.
Holiday villas in Coral Bay overlook the pristine sandy beaches from the cosy hills they are located in. These villas in the hills offer privacy, accessibility and security – an ideal sunny family holiday destination.
The ancient harbour town, Paphos is located close too. It is an extremely popular destination for family holidays because of its holiday climate, beautiful beaches, and friendly people.
The village of Coral Bay is at the center of the bay, where locals and tourists thrive. Located near the famous Coral Bay beach area, this is the ideal location for a fun-filled and relaxing holiday. Villas in this area are grand in structure and view.
The village of Peyia (Pegia) sits atop a hill and overlooks Coral Bay, Paphos and the Mediterranean Sea. This is one of the most sought after areas in the Coral Bay, Paphos region, offering a mix of modern luxury homes within traditional Cypriot village lifestyle.
Kissonerga is a small village in southwest Cyprus. Walking in Kissonerga, you may find yourself in plantations of bananas with their characteristic blue bags rustling in the breeze. This quaint little town still manages to retain its local flavour.
In one of the most stylish coastal resorts in Southern Cyprus, holiday accommodation can be found within minutes of some of the most stunning beaches in the Paphos area, holiday apartments and villas also existing in many out-of-town village locations in peacefully secluded situations that would suit anyone seeking the ultimate privacy in which to unwind, although this is something you can easily expect with any apartment or villa rental, not to mention levels of quality and luxury that makes this destination the perfect choice for that once-in-a-lifetime holiday. Accommodation in Paphos can be enjoyed at any time of the year as the incredible opportunities for recreation, sport, leisure and entertainment in the area will appeal to the interests of people of all ages, so for a family holiday, villas are as suitable for winter sport in the Troodos Mountains as they are summer beach activities and golfing. Holiday accommodation in Coral Bay really can provide such variety, versatility and diversity to your holiday – apartments giving you the perfect excuse for a hefty dose of sun, sea, sand and relaxation even if the rest of the family are up a mountain or on a golf course in Paphos, so villa and apartment rentals are guaranteed to give you a vacation experience you’ve only ever dreamed about. The low prices, which start from 210, for such great holiday home can be decisive too when you book your summer holiday.

Article by David Francis

Adventure holidays are all about new experiences and New Zealand has a huge number of adventure options. When you think about New Zealand – bungy jumping, white water rafting or kayaking might spring to mind – but over the last twenty years the adventure industry down under has developed and successfully marketed a lot of new challenges. Alongside the adventure industry has been the growth of indigenous cultural experiences, so as well as doing something crazy you can learn about the unique Mori culture of New Zealand.

If you start your New Zealand holiday in Auckland and head to the top of the North Island you can go full moon sand surfing on massive dunes, clocking up incredible speeds. It’s exhilarating and you can spend a lot of the time screaming your lungs out but imagine speeding down a dune underneath a star lit sky with only the moon to guide you. Daytime sand surfing is also an option, as well as guided kayaking at night or a mixture of kayak and walking, while learning local Mori stories and their connection to the area.

Surrounded by water, New Zealand offers all kinds of holiday adventures on the ocean, from big game fishing, to sailing charters to dolphin swimming. One of the latest daring adventures for those willing to take the plunge – is swimming with sharks. There are places dotted around the North Island where you can venture out in the ocean in a shark cage but if you want a guaranteed shark experience there is an Aquarium Shark adventure in Auckland where you don’t need any diving background. This is a unique way to get face to face with these predators of the deep, with nothing but a cage between yourself and them. And just when you’re feeling comfortable with the Wobbegong and Broadnose Sevengill sharks you get to spend 15 minutes actually snorkeling with them, outside of the cage!

If you’re more for the thrill of adventures in the air, then throwing yourself out of a plane is well catered for on your New Zealand holiday. With spectacular views from the top of the North Island to the bottom of the South Island a tandem skydive from a maximum of 16,000 feet is an experience you’ll never forget. But if the thought of getting strapped onto someone else and flying up in a tiny plane makes you feel extremely nauseous then there is a new way to experience ‘freefall’ in Rotorua. You are kitted out in a specifically designed flight suit and safety equipment, and after your flight tuition you hit the air stream and freefall! You get the chance to stop halfway through to catch your breath and receive more tips from the experts, before you’re back in freefall mode.

Rotorua, known as the home of zorbing (rolling down a hill in a large inflatable globe), offers a number of adrenalin activities and is starting to rival Queenstown with innovative and exciting adventure tourism. A Triple Bypass Pack gives you a choice of three out of four adventures; freefall experience, jet boat ride, Swoop swing and Schweebing. Never heard of it? A New Zealand first, it is the world’s first human-powered monorail racetrack. Schweebing is a combination of a recumbent bike on a monorail and with the low resistance; riders can reach speeds of up to 60km per hour on a 60degree angle, making it a thrilling ride experience to fit into your holiday.

If biking sounds like your kind of thing why not add an adventure twist with Heli-biking in Queenstown, a Mecca for mountain bikers. The trip includes an amazing helicopter flight over the Remarkables mountain range, followed by 18kms of varied terrain. Starting from the 2000m summit of Ben Cruachen there’s only one way down and that’s on your bike! You traverse rolling ridge lines, old gold miner tracks, and a 4WD farm track, ending your journey in a local vineyard.

Adventures can easily take up every day of your holiday in New Zealand and they can range from crazy activities to the more laid back scenic ones. You can choose adventures in the air, the water and on land, depending on where you feel most comfortable and on the size of your budget. The classic adventures that New Zealand is known throughout the world for are still great experiences but take the time out to try some newer, cutting-edge ones. Of course, travelling in itself is one big adventure so sprinkling in some adrenalin challenges will make your New Zealand holiday that much more interesting.

What makes the Christmas holiday period so memorable for any family?

Is it the idea of having a few precious days where everyone can completely relax, overload themselves on food and festive telly, and hit the sales for some serious spending? Or is it more about escaping from your usual surroundings, and spending time being spoilt and letting your hair down?

If this year you fancy the latter, then England’s family holiday resorts are gearing up to offer just what you’re looking for.

One thing that certainly doesn’t have to spoil any Christmas break is the weather. Holiday parks’ management know that they come into their own when it gets wet and cold outside. At the heart of their complex, there is usually an all-weather entertainment complex which includes swimming and paddling pools, slides, chutes and lots of other water-based facilities. Here, there are also loads of indoor games and activities on offer – more than enough to help everyone pass the days if the weather isn’t fit for venturing outside.

And around Christmas in particular, staged shows take on a festive theme, with Santa, his reindeer and his helpers usually in evidence, to help make sure that the build-up to Christmas Day itself is as fun and exciting as it can be for all the family, but especially for the young ones.

Of course, days spent letting off steam will soon result in some very tired children, who will need their sleep if Santa is to be told that they’ve been good and deserve their presents. So at a family holiday resort, parents can take advantage of child-watching services while, just a short distance from their accommodation, they can have a night out full of the kinds of things which they enjoy.

Evening shows cover lots of different bases, including live singing and dancing shows, and stage versions of some of the children’s favourite television programmes.

Of course, another big bonus of heading off for Christmas to the party at a family holiday resort is that all those eye-popping decorations and lights will have been put up by someone else – and the same goes for them being taken down after the fun is over.

That means that, whether Christmas is a time for going wild, or for getting chilled out, the options are all covered at one of these purpose-built family holiday resorts, where the emphasis is firmly on making every day of the holiday a festive funday.

Now’s the time to start checking out the fresh attractions on offer in the Christmas breaks available at the country’s holiday parks. But these special breaks can sell out quickly, so don’t leave it too late.

Article by Paul Collins

With autumn seemingly ever tightening its grip with every passing day, it’s hard not to glance over your shoulder at the recent days of summer and sigh glumly. However, it doesn’t have to be like that: down in the south of Europe, they’ll still be experiencing glorious sunny days and balmy temperatures for a month or so yet. Here then, is a round-up of five top holiday homes and villas in Spain for a winter break to offset the early stages of seasonal affective disorder:

Casita Julian; Mijas, Malaga

If it’s sunshine you’re after, then you’re in the right place at Casita Julian, as few places anywhere in Europe can boast as many hours of year-round sunshine as the Costa del Sol. While it only has two bedrooms, the space – and the expensive finishing touches that have been brought to bear on the place – make for as indulgent a villa holiday in Spain as you could possibly wish for!

Casita Characoles; Sierra Nevada, Granada

Inland and to the northeast in the Province of Granada, the whole feel of the land changes – and so do the holiday homes you’ll find. In appearance at least, Casita Characoles is more rustic finca than typically luxury villa in Spain; that’s not to say that it doesn’t come with its home comforts (it even has a Jacuzzi). But, high up in the Alpujarras and surrounded on all sides by stunning views of the Alpujarras, it’s always going to appeal to lovers of nature and solitude over luxe-loving city slickers.

La Estrella; Sierra Nevada, Granada

Not far away from Casita Characoles in the village of Canar is the smart penthouse apartment that is La Estrella. In essence, if you take the smart styling and luxe touches of Casita Julian and the gorgeous rustic feel of Casita Characoles, you get the appeal of La Estrella. A particular standout: the jaw-dropping panoramic views; on a clear day, you can see as far away as Morocco!

Villa Riachuelo; Axarquia, Malaga

Nestled in the foothills of the Sierra de Tejeda, a week’s stay at Villa Riachuelo is almost the definition of a relaxing winter sunshine break. The villa itself has four bedrooms, a pool and a fair bit of outdoor space. But it’s the location that’s the real winner: surrounded by dusty olive groves rising up to the peak of La Maroma, there’s practically nothing to do except do nothing.

Grand Villa San Pietro; Marbella, Malaga

Grand by name, and decidedly grand by nature… The Grand Villa San Pietro is less a villa than a palace. Seven-bedroom villas in Spain don’t tend to come cheap (particularly those with indoor pools, saunas, Jacuzzis and a location within spitting distance of Marbella’s Golden Mile), but if it’s a luxury winter sunshine break you’re after, then you can’t really fall down with the Grand Villa San Pietro.

Paul Collins is a travel writer and online marketer who splits his time between London and southern Spain. As soon as autumn begins to set in, he can generally be relied upon to be found considering his options at one of a handful of tried and tested villas in Spain for a winter break.

Despite the fact that there are no accommodation options available for passengers, not even cheap Leeds Airport hotels, the airport is still a relatively busy centre for tourism into West Yorkshire. Many visitors are heading into the city of Leeds or the city of Bradford, which is just a few kilometres from Leeds.

Even though civil aviation discontinued its use at Leeds Airport during the war time period of Europe, it reopened again in 1947, and hasnt looked back. Today, there are almost three million people travelling into the airport each year, and this statistical is looking to rise higher over the next few years.

There is a mater plan in place to begin constructing developments and facelifts for the airport. Some of the areas of focus include railway links, greater parking space, an airport hotel, and an extended runway. With more than double the current number of passengers projected in just four years time, these upgrades are coming at a much needed time.

Getting there
The airport services both Leeds and Bradford, which are two large Northern England cities. From either city, the airport is not a far distance away. Several highways can be taken to the airport, including the largest motorway in England

Article by Karan Agarwal

Searching for airport taxi services with the help of the internet can definitely help you find the most attractive rates and better services. Speaking about murcia airport, public transport links around the area are rather limited in number. So one would recommend an airport taxi since it is found to be the most hassle free means to reach the destination.

This particular airport is a witness to millions of holiday makers every year. As one can see, in the area around murcia airport, there is an obvious lack of public transport system.

No train links are available and only a handful of buses ply through the route daily to the town center. But airport taxi services substantially make up for this and are best reserved way before one’s arrival at the airport. If you book well in advance of your journey date, you in all likelihood will get an attractive rate. Apart from that, you will not have to fritter away time waiting for a vehicle. Due to a surge in the influx of travellers in the recent period, the airport has taken some essential steps to expand its airport transfer facilities so as to make it more convenient for people who want quick and easy transport services to the desired locations.

As you arrive with the bookings, pre-booked vehicles will be waiting there for you to take you to your place. Reveal your identity and you will be accompanied by the driver to the vehicle parked close to the airport building. Even if your flight is delayed there is no room for worry. This is because, the cab to airport Transfer Company will be monitoring the flights and the driver will be informed about the delay.

Almost all the drivers speak in english and will be ready with your hotel or resort accommodation details. They will take you to the exact place you need to go to as you would have given the address of place of stay, while you reserved the vehicle. This can remove even the slight element of stress or confusion from your holiday stint. Just sit back and rest comfortably, while someone else does the driving for you. The driver will take the vehicle directly and straight to the place of stay. Employing the services of airport transfer services at airports is found to be very cost efficient and will leave you rich by a few hundred dollars.

One will receive efficient airport transfer service since the vehicles are driven by highly professional, experienced and licensed drivers. These registered drivers are required by law to maintain their vehicles in good condition and in line with the highest standards. Meticulous safety checks and health checkups are carried out, and this means that you are in safe hands once you book your seat with an airport transfer company. All the airport taxis are equipped with air conditioning system and one can travel comfortably resting in the cool confines of the vehicle. It is advisable to book your rental taxi at the same time of you booking your holiday trip.

Article by Tamzin Fenwick

Taking a city break in Europe is a tourism trend that appears to be booming over recent years. European city breaks for UK travellers are ideal for people who don’t want to take large amounts of their annual leave all in one go and want to break up their working year into shorter trips – it gives people something to look forward to rather than the long wait for a main two week holiday in the sun.

Additionally, those that have copious amounts of holiday entitlement often take a city break in Europe along with a main summer or winter holiday to a far flung, tropical destinations or shorter haul beach holidays with the family. Taking short holidays during the year represents a good opportunity to recharge your batteries and is great for your sanity.

Before committing to a long expensive holiday in any particular country, taking a city break there beforehand is a chance to experience the local culture and will give you a taste of the destination before you spend a lot of money on an extended stay there. As well as endless opportunities for sightseeing and increasing your local knowledge, city breaks in Europe offer something for everyone. There’s the Louvre Museum in Paris for art lovers and culture vultures, gastronomic delights at Rome’s Trattorias and Pizzerias for Foodies, and in Barcelona there are some fantastic beaches and the upmarket holiday resort of Sitges is less than 30 minutes by train.

Don’t be fooled into thinking that a city break in Europe can’t make a great family holiday. In fact, if you’re travelling with kids, once again the city of Barcelona is within easy commute of the Pot Aventura theme park resort with its thrilling rides and Aquatic Park, located on the Costa Dorada. You can get there by bus if you take the Barcelona-Pineda-Salou-Port Aventura-Cambrils line which takes less than an hour. Also, the world famous Disneyland Paris resort is easily accessible from the centre of Paris. Trains operate around every 15 minutes from five large RER stations and take approximately 30-40 minutes to reach Disneyland Paris. Staying in central Paris and commuting to Disneyland Paris can also represent a huge saving based on staying on site at Disneyland Paris Resort.

European city breaks are a great way to travel on a budget. Gone are the days when holidaymakers needed hand-holding to book their travel arrangements. People nowadays are independent travellers and are happy to wander away from the traditional package holiday with the comfort and security of a tour operator representative. And with consumer confidence growing in the use of the internet – including making online transactions via it, travel booking companies such as Expedia are experiencing a phenomenal growth. Their technologies are able to offer prospective bookers much more rich media and interaction with their chosen destination before booking – more than a paper brochure ever could.

If you tie this in with low cost flights from one of the many budget airlines that operate flights to many of the European city destinations, you’ll usually find that a short city break represents a significant cost saving against a traditional package holiday.
